Council is a small rural community located in west central Idaho and home of the Annual 4th of July “World Famous Porcupine Races”. Council was incorporated on January 20th, 1903 and is the county seat of Adams County. Council sits between Cuddy Mountain to the west, rising to 7,715 feet, and Council Mountain to the east reaching 8,126 feet.
